Student Activity
The Associated Students of Biomedical Engineering will be welcoming Dr. Shirin Towfigh at the general meeting on THURSDAY, September 21st, at 5:00pm in GFS 118. As usual, dinner will be provided. Please see below for description on topic. In addition, freshmen representative elections will be held and the new t-shirt design will be unveiled! Dr. Towfigh is an Assistant Professor of Surgery on the USC Health Sciences Campus. She is a full-time faculty member on the Emergency Service at Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center and in the USC Minimally Invasive Surgery Program. In addition, she also practices at the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and the USC University Hospital, specializing in advance laparoscopic surgery. She will be speaking about the developing methods of modern surgery and the new cutting-edge tools behind the methods.
