Workshops & Infosessions
TransFormations is a year-long series of events formed around four specific topics themed as art, technology, cognition and perception. Remixing the Archive brings a dynamic weekend of speakers, screenings, exhibits, workshops, performance and file-sharing, culminating in a student competition.
This series of events explores the evolving status of digital archives in an age when technology facilitates complex modes of reuse and re-combination of preexisting objects and ideas. Remixing the Archive seeks to interrogate the historical roots and cultural implications of the past decade's exceptionally vibrant remix culture and tap into an extremely dynamic counterculture that is devoted to creative reuse.
