We are CAIS++, the undergraduate branch of USC\'s Center for Artificial Intelligence in Society (CAIS). Our mission is to advance AI for Social Good, and our group of 150+ students has worked with professors, startups, and community organizations to develop cutting-edge AI solutions for societal problems.
We\'re inviting you to our Spring 2021 Projects Showcase on Thursday, April 22 from 6:00-7:00 pm on Zoom (link below). Our student teams will be presenting the AI projects that they have worked on this semester.
Projects from this semester include developing machine learning approaches for
Estimating the pandemic risk potential of a virus from genome sequences
Tracing knowledge concept acquisition for personalized education
Diagnosing early-onset dementia from speech patterns
Implementing embedded computer vision algorithms
Predicting the spread of forest fires
We will be recruiting a new cohort of undergraduates in Fall 2021, so coming to our showcase is a great way to learn about CAIS++ and see the type of work we do!
