This seminar will prepare faculty to connect their research goals with anticipated federal research trends in 2010 as the Obama Administration begins to establish and expand programs in its priority areas and the agencies finish distributing the funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Presenters will discuss the funding outlook for extramural research at federal science agencies and the policy context affecting research priorities and attitudes toward universities in Washington.By connecting their research agenda with federal trends, participants will improve their federal grant applications and influence programs and priorities at federal agencies.
