This weekly workshop series will benefit researchers who are interested in or are starting to learn about the application of theoretical methods and techniques for the study of the physics and chemistry of the solid state. These hands-on oriented workshops are targeted towards undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral students who wish to use Density Functional Theory (DFT) methods in their research. The aim is to teach the basics of ab initio atomistic materials simulation using the Quantum Espresso suite of codes for electronic-structure calculations and materials modeling at the nanoscale. Pranjali Bakeri will share how SambaNova Systems is advancing AI for everyone, everywhere with a flexible, full stack solution that can unlock new capabilities of deep learning applications orders of magnitude faster than on traditional hardware. This will be followed up with a casual Q&A with a few of our engineers where you can learn more about SambaNova Systems, get career advice or just to socialize.

Pranjali Bakeri is a senior member of the VLSI Team at Sambanova Systems. She received her Masters from USC and has gained years of experience in digital design, circuits and implementation. Her research interest also includes development of software tools and methodologies that aid the design process. In her spare time, she loves being outdoors, singing, swimming, cooking and spending time with her family.

The EnCorps Trojan talk is open to all graduate level students with 1 year of science, tech, engineering, math or research professional experience. The Fellowship is an unpaid opportunity, and within 9 months-2 years you can be hired as a credentialed teacher.

The EnCorps STEM Teachers Program empowers STEM industry experts to transform public education by exploring teaching in high needs schools. The STEM Teaching Fellowship allows STEM professionals to explore teaching middle or high school in a low risk, highly supported way. Fellows will see teaching first-hand as a volunteer guest teacher before pursuing a teaching credential/license/certification and getting hired as a teacher. Along the way, Fellows are supported with training, coaching and a cohort of peers.

TwilioQuest For Viterbi Students!
TwilioQuest prepares you for real-world programming by helping you configure a local development environment and introducing tools used by professional programmers around the world.
TwilioQuest is a fun and engaging way for students to learn about Twilio. A TwilioQuest operation consists of:
- 15-min kick-off session
- 40-min where students play TwilioQuest
- 5-min to announce winners of the Operation. The winners are randomly selected participants.
In addition to giving students an opportunity to use Twilio's APIs through TwilioQuest, they can also join the TwilioQuest community on Discord and learn about our student ambassador program, Field Operators & our student club grant (www.twilio.com/quest/students) which they can participate in prior to becoming Twilions.

In the first 30 minutes of the session, we will review CodeSignal's assessment process, answer questions around how to best navigate the take home portion, and give tips on getting the best possible score. The final hour will consist of breakout sessions, where Robinhood engineers will demonstrate how to best solve the most missed tasks on the assessment.

This weekly workshop series will benefit researchers who are interested in or are starting to learn about the application of theoretical methods and techniques for the study of the physics and chemistry of the solid state. These hands-on oriented workshops are targeted towards undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral students who wish to use Density Functional Theory (DFT) methods in their research. The aim is to teach the basics of ab initio atomistic materials simulation using the Quantum Espresso suite of codes for electronic-structure calculations and materials modeling at the nanoscale. We want to share an exciting Maymester opportunity from the USC English Department:
Do you want to get away? Use some of your elective units to join award-winning BBC filmmaker Andrew Chater in a unique Bookpacking experience.
The Maymester Bookpacking experience is open to all students; we would like to have a diverse group of students to provide different perspectives. Maymester courses will appear in the Spring 2022 Schedule of Classes, but are stand-alone Faculty-Led Program (FLP) offerings that provide exceptional opportunities for research and experiential learning off-campus, throughout the United States, or even abroad.
If you are interested in the ENGL-352g "Bookpacking 'The Big Easy'" Maymester class, which counts for GE-B "Humanistic Inquiry" credit, please plan to attend an informational session with Professor Andrew Chater on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 12th, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm or WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 20th from 12:00 pm TO 1:00 pm via Zoom.
The info session will be an open forum setting, and you will be able to come in and excuse yourself at any point.
The ENGL-352g course will take you through New Orleans and Southern Louisiana, where you will learn about the French Creole, Cajun, White Protestant, and African-Americans by living the experience through novels, music, and southern food.

The Maymester Bookpacking experience is open to all students; we would like to have a diverse group of students to provide different perspectives. Maymester courses will appear in the Spring 2022 Schedule of Classes, but are stand-alone Faculty-Led Program (FLP) offerings that provide exceptional opportunities for research and experiential learning off-campus, throughout the United States, or even abroad.
If you are interested in the ENGL-352g "Bookpacking 'The Big Easy'" Maymester class, which counts for GE-B "Humanistic Inquiry" credit, please plan to attend an informational session with Professor Andrew Chater on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 12th, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm or WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 20th from 12:00 pm TO 1:00 pm via Zoom.
The info session will be an open forum setting, and you will be able to come in and excuse yourself at any point.
The ENGL-352g course will take you through New Orleans and Southern Louisiana, where you will learn about the French Creole, Cajun, White Protestant, and African-Americans by living the experience through novels, music, and southern food.

These hands-on oriented workshops are targeted towards undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral students who wish to use Density Functional Theory (DFT) methods in their research. The aim is to teach the basics of ab initio atomistic materials simulation using the Quantum Espresso suite of codes for electronic-structure calculations and materials modeling at the nanoscale. Do you want to get away? Use some of your elective units to join award-winning BBC filmmaker Andrew Chater in a unique Bookpacking experience.
The Maymester Bookpacking experience is open to all students; we would like to have a diverse group of students to provide different perspectives. Maymester courses will appear in the Spring 2022 Schedule of Classes, but are stand-alone Faculty-Led Program (FLP) offerings that provide exceptional opportunities for research and experiential learning off-campus, throughout the United States, or even abroad.
If you are interested in the ENGL-352g "Bookpacking 'The Big Easy'" Maymester class, which counts for GE-B "Humanistic Inquiry" credit, please plan to attend an informational session with Professor Andrew Chater on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 12th, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm or WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 20th from 12:00 pm TO 1:00 pm via Zoom.
The info session will be an open forum setting, and you will be able to come in and excuse yourself at any point.

This weekly workshop series will benefit researchers who are interested in or are starting to learn about the application of theoretical methods and techniques for the study of the physics and chemistry of the solid state. These hands-on oriented workshops are targeted towards undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral students who wish to use Density Functional Theory (DFT) methods in their research. The aim is to teach the basics of ab initio atomistic materials simulation using the Quantum Espresso suite of codes for electronic-structure calculations and materials modeling at the nanoscale. RSVP on Zoom HERE. Join the EnCorps STEM Teachers Program for a virtual Trojan Talk about pathways into teaching middle and high school, as well as other ways to be involved in ensuring all students receive an equitable education in California.
The EnCorps Trojan talk is open to all graduate level students with 1 year of science, tech, engineering, math or research professional experience. The Fellowship is an unpaid opportunity, and within 9 months-2 years you can be hired as a credentialed teacher. EnCorps is unable to offer Visa sponsorship.
The EnCorps STEM Teachers Program empowers STEM industry experts to transform public education by exploring teaching in high needs schools. The STEM Teaching Fellowship allows STEM professionals to explore teaching middle or high school in a low risk, highly supported way. Fellows will see teaching first-hand as a volunteer guest teacher before pursuing a teaching credential/license/certification and getting hired as a teacher. Along the way, Fellows are supported with training, coaching and a cohort of peers.

Hello Trojans!
Are you looking for assistance on returning to campus, improving their time management skills, and alleviating stress? Please come to our workshops and Drop-in hours hosted by the USC Kortschak Center for Learning and Creativity. No reservation or appointment is required for our workshops and drop-ins.
KCLC will be hosting Drop-in Hours and Skill Building for Success Workshops on Zoom with a weekly theme of time management, reading strategies, stress management or test-taking. The workshops will be interactive with great tips and resources.
Drop-in hours are available for undergraduate or graduate students to meet with an academic coach without needing to make a reservation. These sessions may be held in a group setting, dependent upon staffing availability and demand.

This weekly workshop series will benefit researchers who are interested in or are starting to learn about the application of theoretical methods and techniques for the study of the physics and chemistry of the solid state. These hands-on oriented workshops are targeted towards undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral students who wish to use Density Functional Theory (DFT) methods in their research. The aim is to teach the basics of ab initio atomistic materials simulation using the Quantum Espresso suite of codes for electronic-structure calculations and materials modeling at the nanoscale.
